Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming three representatives from YTL Hotels to our halls, as they gave an engaging and informative career talk to our students.
YTL Hotels is the hospitality arm of YTL Corporation Berhad, which is one of Malaysia’s most dynamic conglomerates. With 38 properties worldwide, the company is involved in both ownership and management of properties and operations ranging from moderately-priced hotels to luxury trains.
The trio consisted of Group Talent Development Manager Ms Azry Rasyeqa, Group Training Assistant Manager Ms Hazel Goh, and Ms Linda Chan, who is with Vistana Penang’s Human Resource department.
Their visit was the latest of our continuous engagements with local and international industry leaders – where our students get the opportunity to interact and learn directly from accomplished professionals.
The talk focused on YTL’s talent development programme, which aims to nurture future leaders who can make an impact. The affable and outgoing YTL team shared their experiences under the programme, and described some of the career opportunities available for our students.
The job prospects covered a variety of fields, including sales, marketing and communications, IT, and culinary arts. The talk clearly struck a chord with our students, who had several questions for our guests.
