Quest International University Perak (QIUP) is proud to inform that our senior lecturer in Physiology with the Faculty of Medicine, Dr Bedanta Roy won the Malaysian Society of Pharmacology & Physiology (MSPP) Teacher’s Prize 2017 in Physiology.
The competition which was held at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Sungai Buloh Campus saw academic staff from renowned institutions battling it out to win this coveted prize.
Dr. Bedanta admitted that he faced stiff competition from the participants but he gave his best and is proud to have participated and won the competition.
“The topic was quite challenging and presentation time was 20 minutes. This was really a wonderful experience to take part in this event. I feel happy, blessed and proud to have represented QIUP in winning the award from the Malaysian Society of Pharmacology and Physiology.
“I am grateful to the management of the University and in particular to my colleagues at the Faculty of Medicine for their support and encouragement for this event”, added Dr. Roy.
He received a certificate and the challenge trophy which was awarded at the closing ceremony of the 31st Scientific Meeting of the MSPP in Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
MSPP invites teachers of Physiology and Pharmacology from universities in Malaysia to participate in this competition every year. It awards Teacher’s Prize one each to Physiology and Pharmacology discipline every year based on the evaluation of a selected panel of senior professors in the field.
