It was a historic moment when the QIUP Eagles Men Futsal Team emerged Champions at the North Zone Masiswa Sports Carnival 2016 which was organised by Majlis Sukan IPTS Malaysia (MASISWA) in collaboration with Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) Penang. The QIUP Eagles who played their hearts out, fought very hard to claim this deserving victory.
It was indeed a very tensed moment in the semi-finals when QIUP drew with UTAR 3-3. The unfazed QIUP Eagles proved they had nerves of steel when they went on to win the penalty shoot-out 3-1. In the finals, our Eagles beat UniKL (Penang) team 3-1 to clinch the coveted championship.

Besides Futsal, QIUP also sent teams to participate in Badminton (Ladies & Men), Chess (Ladies & Men) and Basketball (Men) at the North Zone Masiswa Sports Carnival 2016.
QIUP was ranked 6th out of 16 teams in the final medal rankings of the tournament. Kudos to all who participated and kept the QIUP flag flying high.
