Quest International University Perak (QIUP) was recently featured in the China Asean Business magazine when our Chief Operating Officer, Mr Nicholas Goh was interviewed on his views about how Malaysian Universities plan to attract students from China to study in Malaysia.
In his interview, Mr. Goh stressed that QIUP definitely provides an advantage for Chinese students.
“Firstly, we understand that English will be the main barrier for students from China pursuing studies in QIUP. We have come up with the English Enhancement Programme specifically for this purpose. We will evaluate their English language proficiency and enrol them for English classes and improve their proficiency level which will allow them then to pursue the programme of their choice in QIUP.
“We also have in place the Student Tracking System which allows us to identify a student’s academic performance. If we notice a student declining in their performance, the faculty will immediately intervene by talking to the student and provide counselling and remedial classes if necessary. In this way, we do not wait for the student to fail, but rather we catch them before they fall.” added Mr. Goh.
The China-ASEAN Business Magazine founded by China and Malaysia is an international magazine aimed at promoting bilateral trade and economic development.
