The QIU family rang in the Lunar New Year with pomp and style with a joyous celebration at our Student Centre on Wednesday, 13th February 2019. The event, organised by QIU’s Chinese Society, was attended by over 200 of the University’s local and international staff and students. The crowds were spellbound by the colourful festivities, which included traditional favourites like riddle games, a Wushu performance, lion dance, and the traditional tossing of the Yee Sang. Everyone also got to tuck into some delicious refreshments, and of course, Mandarin oranges were everywhere!

On hand to officiate the celebration was our Chief Operating Officer Mr Nicholas Goh, who underlined the importance of coming together and celebrating cultural festivals as one. We’d like to thank the QIU Chinese Students’ Society and everyone who made this event a resounding success. Gong Xi Fa Cai!
