The MBBS programme at QIU follows an Integrated Hybrid Problem-Based Learning Curriculum. The 5-year MBBS curriculum consists of two contiguous phases: Phase I (Years 1 & 2) and Phase II (Years 3 to 5). In Phase I, the emphasis is on basic sciences with early clinical exposure, while Phase II focuses on the clinical sciences integrated with the applied aspects of basic and laboratory sciences.

Minimum Entry Requirements For MBBS

All applicants shall have attained one of the following entry qualifications:

 

A. Higher School Certificate Level or its equivalent

ExaminationsRequirements
STPMGrades BBB, ABC or AAC in 3 Subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics
A Levels
Matriculation or
Foundation in Science or
Pre- Medical course
CGPA 3.0* (out of 4) in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics and
Provided the course is not less than 1 year in the same accredited institution and
the minimum entry qualification is grade B in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (or Additional Mathematics) and another subject at School Certificate level or its equivalent
UECB4 in 5 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics
Examination or any other foundation programme in the sciences. Approved by MOHE.

B. Diploma Level

Diploma in Health SciencesCGPA 3.5 (out of 4) and
Provided the course is not less than 5 semesters or 2½ years in the same accredited institution and
the minimum entry qualification grade B5 in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (or Additional Mathematics) and another subject at School Certificate level or its equivalent.

C. Degree Level
