QIUP recently organised a workshop on First Aid and CPR training for Early Childhood Educators based in Ipoh. Prof Dr F.G. Dawoodi, from the Faculty of Medicine, QIUP, gave a talk on how to respond when faced with medical emergencies, as well as demonstrated the correct procedures and techniques of applying CPR to adults, young children and babies. All the participants were given the opportunity to practise CPR hands-on using CPR mannequins. In another session held on the same day, Ms Ummu Hani, Coordinator for QIUP’s Bachelor of Special Needs Education (Hons) programme, facilitated discussions on identifying and managing children with special needs.
