The Diploma in Business Management programme is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career in business management. How well you succeed in developing your career depends a lot on how prepared you are to cope with the many changes and challenges facing businesses today.

Our programme combines theoretical knowledge and practical skills and competencies in business management for the middle-level management or supervisory positions. Our emphasis is on building business and managerial competency as well as encouraging students to reflect on their own learning and be consistently self-motivated and self-critical. Such competency and positive characteristics are achieved through continuous assignments and in-class examinations and by exposing students to the real business practices through the use of case studies, industrial visits and training, and interactions with business practitioners.

Apart from preparing them to find employment in large organizations, our Diploma students are furnished with the relevant core business principles and equipped with the managerial and entrepreneurial skills to work in, manage, or start up small to medium size enterprises. In other words, our students do not only acquire the essential skills that are intended to enhance their own employment careers, but also the managerial and leadership skills to meaningfully contribute to the strategic growth of any business, or to one day manage their own business enterprise.

Graduates of our Diploma programme would find employment as an executive or an officer in a variety of business areas including general operations management, finance, marketing research, sales and human resource management. Careers in these different fields can be demanding, challenging and rewarding. They require that graduates maintain a high competency standard and the commitment to success, and a display of professionalism, leadership, and social responsibility.
