Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) aim to provide graduates with sufficient knowledge and skills to take on appropriate responsibility with a higher degree of autonomy from the Diploma holders. The graduates should possess the ability to be responsible for an organisation’s computing infrastructure and its users.
Programme objectives
The detailed objectives of the programme are:
- To possess skills for lifelong learning, research and career development
- To have communication, team, leadership and interpersonal skills, and aware of the social, ethical and legal responsibilities and entrepreneurial skill and a broad business and real world perspective
- To have strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve problems by applying knowledge, principles and skills in Information Technology
- To possess the ability to design, implement and manage Information Technology solutions and resources, and recognize the impact of technology on individuals, organizations and society.
- To possess skills to integrate various technology solutions.
PROGRAMME LEARNING OUTCOMES
Graduates of this programme will, typically, be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of essential facts, concepts, principles, and theories relating to Information Technology
- apply theoretical principles of Information Technology in relevant areas
- design, implement and manage Information Technology solutions and resources, and recognize the impact of technology on individuals, organization and society.
- integrate various technology solutions
- apply broad business and real world perspectives daily and demonstrate entrepreneurial skills.
