The need for Ethical Hacking Professionals is increasing but the current numbers do not meet the demand. Cybersecurity Malaysia has quoted that there are only about 800 professionals now. There is a need to increase the number to about 7,000 in three years’ time. We need to educate the public and create awareness on cyber security.
In line with this, QIUP conducted a 4 days training, which was conducted over 2 weekends for 24 students from the Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Electronics & Communications Engineering, Bachelor of Information Technology and Diploma in Information Technology programmes. The training was conducted by Nexperts Academy who work in collaboration with Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (MDec) to conduct this training at no cost to help meet the need for this growing professionals.
At the end of the training, students sat for the certification examination and are now qualified as “Certified Professional Ethical Hacker (CPEH)”. Current job market requires graduates with Information Security and Ethical Hacking Knowledge.
