Internal Scholarships

The CSC full scholarship covers the tuition fee, the accommodation, the comprehensive medical insurance and the monthly living allowance (CNY 3,000 for masters). The scholarship will be offered to the students during their stay at Beijing Institute of Technology for the period of the Master programs (2 years).

Master Programmes Offered

Computer Science and Technology

The disciplines of Computer science and technology of Beijing Institute of Technology root in the Computer Major established in 1958 as one of the first in China. In 1980, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering was formally formed. In 2009, it is restructured into School of Computer Science. The school has made prominent contributions to the development of teaching, research and industry in computer science and technology in China. The school has obtained the authorization of doctoral degree grant on the first-class discipline of Computer science and technology, the key discipline of Beijing on Computer Application Technology, the key discipline on Computer Software, and the Post-doctoral Mobile Stations for Computer Science and Technology.

Computer science is the study of how computational processes and devices represent, store, and manipulate information. It involves the development, and analysis of algorithms, which are instructions (or software) that tell a computer how to solve particular problems correctly and efficiently. The program of Computer Science and Technology provides intensive preparation in the concepts and techniques related to the design, programming, researching and application of computing systems. Students are provided a deep understanding of both fundamentals and important current issues in computer science and computer engineering so that they may either obtain productive employment or pursue advanced degrees.

Mechanical Engineering

This program is the broad mechanical engineering field to develop and construct. It solves the science and technical problems of design, performance achievement and optimization of mechanical product using the basic theory of mechanical engineering and studies the theory and technology of mechanical products as well as traditional vehicle, unmanned vehicle, intelligent connected vehicle, new energy vehicle, bionics and robot, power machinery, fluid machinery and also studies the theory and technologies includes intelligent manufacturing, sensing and mechatronic control, opto-electronics micro-nanofabrication science and engineering, engineering thermophysics.

This program is a full-time degree, including both coursework and project. It aims at cultivating the high-level specialized personnel with a firm grasp of basic theories and professional knowledge of mechanical engineering, having the ability to solve practical problems and undertake the tasks for professional technology or management. They will participate in projects in mechanical engineering under the guidance of their advisors and complete their graduation thesis based on the projects they have conducted.

Information and Communication Engineering

This program is the engineering field to construct the modern information society with the combination of information technology. It solves the technical problems of electronic components, integrated circuit, electronic control, instrumentation, computer design and manufacturing and those related to electronics and communication engineering using the basic theory of information technology and studies the theory and technology of electronic information detection, transmission, exchanging, processing and display.

This program is a full-time degree, including both coursework and projects. It aims at cultivating the high-level specialized personnel with a firm grasp of basic theories and professional knowledge of electronics and communication engineering, having the ability to solve practical problems and undertake the tasks for professional technology or management. Students can apply for the master degree after getting required credits. They will participate in projects in electronics and communication engineering under the guidance of their advisors and complete their graduation thesis based on the projects they have conducted.

Electronics Science and Technology

This program is the engineering field to construct the modern information society with the combination of electronic science & technology. It solves the technical problems of electronic components, integrated circuit, electronic control, instrumentation, computer design and manufacturing and studies the theory and technology of electronic information detection, transmission, exchange, processing and display. Other problems related to electronics and communication engineering are also solved using the basic theory of electronic science & technology and information technology.

This discipline focuses on computational electromagnetics, microwave/millimeter wave and terahertz wave technology and system, dedicated processor design and application, polarization sensitive array signal processing, single-frequency stabilized frequency laser, micro-nano optoelectronic devices and new optoelectronic devices and Systems.

Biotechnology Program

NOTE: Programme will be fully conducted in Mandarin

Biotechnology is based on the life sciences. Combined with engineering principles. It uses biological systems, designed and built for the expected nature of the new species or new line, to solve production and practical problems in biological, pharmaceutical, and environmental fields. This program covers life sciences from many sub-disciplines, disciplines with cross-penetration from the chemical, pharmaceutical, engineering, mathematics, microelectronics, and computer science disciplines. It is based on biological theory, systematic study of the basic theoretical knowledge of life sciences, basic experimental skills and basic engineering design principles.

Graduates have knowledge about biotechnology and engineering design, production, management and new technology research as well as new product development. Graduates are qualified to work in the fields of biology, medicine, environment, agriculture, marine, light and chemical industry enterprises and administrative departments in the application of biotechnology-related research, technology development, production management, and administration.

The core courses include Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Bioinformatics, Genetic Engineering, Protein and Enzyme Engineering, Microbiological Engineering, and Bioseparation Engineering. Special courses include Bioinformatics, Immunology, Genetic Engineering, Protein and Enzyme Engineering, and Microbiological Engineering.

Biomedical Engineering Program

NOTE: Programme will be fully conducted in Mandarin

This professional engineering and technical degree could be used in the medical field with mature technology, principles, and methods of biological, physical, chemical and technical sciences. This major is cross-disciplinary in the research and development of human health materials, medical instruments, electronic equipment and systems , computer technology, and information processing technology.

Students would be well-grounded in the basic knowledge of the natural world and humans and cultivated not only in mathematics, physics, chemistry, electronics and information technology, and computer technology theory, but also in biological and medical basics. Students can engage in the design, production, and management of new technology research and new product development in the field of biomedical engineering.

Students will develop a solid theoretical foundation and generous professional knowledge of electronic information technology, computer and engineering design, and master basic knowledge of biology and medicine. They would be multifaceted talents with skills in theoretical research, engineering and technical design, research and application of engineering technology and biological, medical knowledge.

The core courses include Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Circuits and Electronics, Signals and Systems courses, Computer courses, Random Signal Analysis, and Biomedical Signal Detection and Processing. Special courses include: Principles of Medical Imaging and Image Processing, Biomedical Testing Equipment, Biomedical Electronics, and Bioinformatics.
