Arts @ QIU
Foundation in Arts (FIA) programme’s inaugural intake was in April 2016 and obtained its MQA accreditation on November 2017. On 1st January 2017, the university decided to park the Foundation in Arts programme under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Faculty of Social Sciences places emphasis on the continuous improvement of it’s courses and carried out a programme review to improve the existing Foundation in Arts programme.


Foundation in Arts (FIA) is a pre-university level programme that blends Social Science, Information Technology, English and Management courses to give students a solid foundation in their future studies, while at the same time broadening their exposure to other related fields. Such exposure to a wide spectrum of knowledge provides students with an integrated learning experience and an appreciation for how each of these related disciplines impact the working environment in a variety of fields.
