PROGRAMMES


QIU’s Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) programme is designed with the specific purpose of developing managers and accountants of value. This programme is a four-year full-time programme.
For students who want to build a career in the world of accounting, this programme will equip you with an in-depth understanding of the areas of accounting and finance. This includes financial accounting, assurance, taxation, corporate finance and financial management.
Graduates from this programme will gain valuable hands-on experience through staggered attachments to an array of businesses and industries as part of their practical training. Its curriculum is tailored to the specifications set by professional bodies such as the MIA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA (Australia) and the MICPA. Graduates are thus prepared for a wide range of career possibilities in the accounting and finance industry – including the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms.

Assessment
Students’ abilities are gauged through continuous assessments and final examinations. The continuous assessment component comprises of a combination of tests/quizzes, mid-term examinations, presentations, and projects/assignments that account for 60 to 100 marks, depending on the course. The balance of the marks are allocated for the final examination.

Assessment
Students’ ability is gauged both through continuous assessment and a final year exam. The continuous assessment comprises tests / quizzes, mid-semester examinations and projects / assignments which accounts for an allocation of about 40% – 50% of the coursework marks. The balance of the marks is allocated for the final examination.
