Associate Member of the USA’s Society of Actuaries (ASA) and Institute Actuaries Australia (AIAA) Mr Raveendran Menon shared his working and academic experience to our Actuarial Sciences students. The Georgia State University Master’s degree holder motivated our students to be firm and dedicated when facing professional examinations in their future careers.

QIU BECOMES OFFICIAL EDUCATION PROVIDER OF CQRM CERTIFICATION
QIU isan official Education Provider for the CQRM (Certified in Quantitative Risk Management) international certification. The certification is awarded by the International Institute of Professional Education and Research (IIPER), which is a worldwide professional certification education and research organisation with offices and members in multiple countries. QIU Actuarial Science students will be granted modules exemption and can directly sit for the CQRM professional examination.

USM Math STATOR Day 2018
A group of Actuarial Science students from QIU visited USM on Oct 13 2018, which happened to be Math STATOR Day. Math STATOR Day is the abbreviation of Math on STATistics and Operations Research Day. The programme aimed to expose today’s youth to the role Statistics and Operations Research can have in their career and life.
International Statistics Institute – Young Statistician Workshop 2019
Actuarial Science students and lecturers from QIU were short-listed to participate the ISI – Young Statistician Workshop 2019, which was held in Kuala Lumpur during the World Statistics Congress 2019. More than 150 participants from all around the world participated in the workshop to learn and discuss about the recent trends and challenges in statistics.
