QISS 2019


Quest Intervarsity Science Symposium 2019 (QISS 2019) is an event organised by the Faculty of Science and Technology, Quest International University (QIU) and Faculty of Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. The theme for this year’s symposium is “Science and Technology: Building Insights, Breaking Boundaries”.
In line with this theme, QISS 2019 is dedicated to research in Life Sciences, Environmental Technology, Computing and Engineering. Students, academicians and industry players are invited and highly encouraged to present and promote their research findings via poster submissions or PechaKucha presentations. This symposium is expected to gather more than 150 participants from various backgrounds.
QISS 2019 targets to be a platform for collaboration and sharing of scientific findings among participants. This symposium is also looking towards building insights and fostering partnerships among various scientific institutions, universities and companies.

Call for abstract: | The secretariat of QISS 2019 is calling for abstracts for oral and poster presentation. Abstracts will be reviewed and selected on the basis of relevance to the scope of the conference and their potential for generating discussion. Presentations must be in English. All participants submitting their abstracts must be officially registered for the symposium and payment must be made before the deadline. Abstract submission should follow the format given: Abstract Template QISS 2019 |
Presentation format | Poster presenters are recommended to design their poster in the following format: portrait, A1, 59.4 cm × 84.1 cm. Oral presenters are requested to prepare their presentations in the PechaKucha format: 20 Microsoft Powerpoint slides to be presented within seven (7) minutes, with each slide to be presented for 20 seconds. Five (5) minutes will be given for question and answer sessions. |

a) Top priority will be given for the logo placement and printed on the flyers, brochures, buntings, banners, backdrop and book of
abstracts of the event.
b) Complimentary publicity in all Quest International University Perak (QIU) social media platforms.
c) Special acknowledgement and token of appreciation by the master of ceremony during the launching of the event.
d) One explicit company presentation (not more than 10 minutes) during the plenary session to all participants
e) Three standard table size booths space (2m x 2m) are provided for company during the event.
f) Up to eight (8) company employees are welcomed to participate in the event (inclusive of meals and refreshments).
2) Gold package with contribution of RM 3000 and above:

c) Special acknowledgement and token of appreciation by the master of ceremony during the launching of the event.

e) Up to three (3) company employees are welcomed to participate in the event (inclusive of meals and refreshments).
