  • QIUP is a private and comprehensive research-led University established in 2008 in collaboration with the State Government of Perak with the goal of becoming an international educational hub. A state-of-the-art Medical Faculty has been established in Ipoh to cater for the medical programme which has enrolled its inaugural batch of students in July 2012.

    The MBBS programme at QIUP follows an Integrated Hybrid Problem-Based Learning Curriculum. The 5-year MBBS curriculum consists of two contiguous phases: Pre-clinical (Years 1 and 2) and Clinical (Years 3 to 5). In Phase I, the emphasis is on basic sciences with early clinical exposure; Phase II focuses on the clinical sciences integrated with the applied aspects of basic and laboratory sciences.
