About Faculty

The right skills and knowledge are paramount for business decision making. Without them, the survival of businesses will be at risk. The Faculty of Business and Management aims to develop these skills and knowledge in our students. We strive to equip them with managerial, entrepreneurial, leadership, teamwork, information management and problem solving skills. Experiential learning thus facilitates our aim, resulting in graduates that are able to think laterally and who are aware of the ever-changing business environment.

The Faculty has evolved much since its inception in 2011. Currently, we are made up of two schools – the School of Business and Management and the School of Hospitality – and offer more than 10 programmes. Despite being in a temporary campus, our students enjoy facilities that enable them to practice their skills in real business settings. Besides investing in various initiatives to enhance the quality of teaching, learning and research, we have also established strong ties with local and international organisations and professional bodies such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MPFC).

Among our efforts to continually meet the needs to today’s tertiary learning environment, we have created a platform, the Let’s Chat! Business Talk Series, for our students to engage with industry experts and experienced professionals. In December 2017, the Faculty has been accepted as a member of the Association to Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business (AACBS). Being part of such a distinguished group of business schools that includes Harvard University, Yale University and Warwick Business School opens doors for the Faculty to collaborate across borders. Pursuing the accreditation signifies our commitment to our stakeholders and facilitates our aspiration to contribute meaningfully to the communities we engage with.

We invite you to join us. Let us help you realise your potential.
