The Diploma in Business Information System programme is designed to equip students with the fundamental knowledge of business operations and information technology that will enable them to translate business information into valuable insights for enhancement of organizational performance.

 

Graduates of the programme will be able to critically analyse business problems and develop innovative solutions through the effective use of information systems, fitting roles that bridge the gap between technical and management personnel.

Examinations Requirements
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) Pass with credits in any three (3) subjects including Mathematics
Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) Minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any one (1) subject and credit in Mathematics and pass in English Language at SPM level
Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) Pass with a minimum grade “Maqbul” and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Pass with minimum of grade B in three (3) subjects including Mathematics
Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in related field Pass SKM level 3 in related field and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level
Other Qualifications Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia

3 intakes in each academic year

 

Mode of Study: Full-time and part-time

 

Duration
Full-time: 2 1/2 years.
Part-time: 4 years.

Assessment
Students’ ability is gauged both through continuous assessments and a final exam. The continuous assessment component comprises tests/quizzes, mid-semester examination and projects/assignments which accounts for an allocation of about 40-60% marks depending on the course.  The balance of the marks is allocated for the final examination.
